XY-2822 Air Pump Sponge Filter

The XY-2822 Dual Sponge Filter is a simple, reliable filtration solution for aquariums where gentle water movement and excellent biological filtration are important.
Using two sponge chambers, the filter provides both mechanical and biological filtration. The sponges capture suspended particles and debris while providing a large surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonise, helping support a stable and healthy aquarium environment.

Because sponge filters operate with gentle water flow and have no exposed impeller, they are particularly well suited to shrimp tanks, breeding tanks, fry grow-out tanks and aquariums containing shrimp or delicate fish. The sponge design helps prevent tiny fry and shrimplets from being drawn into the filter.
The dual-sponge design also allows for easy maintenance — the sponges can be cleaned individually, helping to preserve beneficial bacteria within the filtration system.
