Drip Acclimation Guide:
Crystal Red Shrimp are sensitive to sudden changes in water chemistry. For the best results, we strongly recommend drip acclimating all new shrimp before introducing them to your aquarium.
- Carefully transfer the shrimp and shipping water into a clean container or bucket.
- .Using airline tubing, start a slow siphon from your aquarium to the container.
- Tie a loose knot or use a valve to regulate the flow to approximately 2–4 drops per second.
- Allow the water volume in the container to double over 1–2 hours.
- Gently net the shrimp and place them into the aquarium.
- Avoid adding shipping water to your tank.
- Leave the aquarium lights off for a few hours to reduce stress and allow the shrimp to settle.
Patience during acclimation greatly improves survival rates and helps your shrimp adapt successfully to their new environment.
