Blyxa japonica
The Japanese threadwort is one of the most beautiful foreground plants in the aquarium. The impressive aquarium landscapes by Takashi Amoano, have greatly influenced the desirability of this graceful plant. However, for a successful cultivation important parameters such as light, soft water, and high CO2 levels are required. Particularly impressive are larger groups, that even shimmer reddish under strong lighting. In combination with flat growing species like Hemianthus callitrichoides or Micranthemum tweediei, Blyxa japonica creates a special harmonious atmosphere.
