BOA shrimp are best suited to established Caridina aquariums with stable, soft and slightly acidic water conditions. They are particularly rewarding for keepers interested in developing and selectively breeding high-grade Caridina lines.

As with all premium Caridina, stability is more important than chasing individual numbers. Introduce slowly and avoid large or sudden changes in temperature, TDS or water chemistry.
Breeding potential: BOA shrimp can be selectively bred to develop and strengthen desirable pattern and colour characteristics over successive generations. Offspring will naturally vary, making careful selection an important part of developing a high-quality line.
